My room mates and I saved our guinea pig at the beginning of the year from being thrown in the dumpster by a family who was evicted and had no other options. Unfortunately we can no longer keep her because we are about to graduate college and campus safety has found her and does not love her like we do.
WHY SHE’S A WINNER…
*friendly, loves being held, chirps when you walk by or in the door
*1 year old – certainly old enough to learn some sick tricks (to help picking up hotties)
*house-trained – only goes in the corner of her cage = minimal cleanup = fantastic
*sick flow, awesome badonkadonk, pearly white teeth
*loves cruising in her giant hamster ball around the apartment
*was your new years resolution to get in shape? she loves carrots and veggies and you’ll eat healthier from having them in the fridge. if only you could take her jogging…
*did i mention she likes her chin scratched?
*if you have a pet hawk, please do not contact.
If you are looking for a pet for you or your child, she is perfect. She’s really sweet, adorable, interactive, smart, and is incredibly easy to take care of (with the right bedding her cage only needs to be cleaned weekly and takes 5 minutes). She also doesn’t require expensive trips to the vet and has only cost us about $7/month (minus start-up). She get excited over funny things and will jump up and down, loves to explore and will sit on your shoulder on in your hood as you walk around. Incredibly tolerant – she even let us dye her blue once with Jello. She also loves to be held and will chirp or purr and climb around on you. For an animal we expected to be incredibly boring, we have all grown to love her and are sad to see her go. We just hope we can find her someone who will enjoy her as much as we have because she deserves an awesome home.
We are requesting a re-homing fee of $50 since she comes with all necessary supplies (food, cage, bedding, water bottle, deoderizing pet spray, giant hamster ball, toys, house, food dish, treats…). If you are thinking of buying a guinea pig, don’t. To appeal to you emotions, you would be saving a friendly, happy guinea pig who was almost thrown in the dumpster. To appeal to your rational side, guinea pigs live for 7 years and together the supplies and animal could cost you hundreds – having a few miles under her belt and all the supplies is a good thing. Trust us.
